You do not need another leadership program that teaches you how to perform under pressure.
You need space to understand what you are carrying, why it is showing up the way it is, and what it is doing to the way you lead. Legacy InnerShift Institute helps Second Chair leaders strengthen from the inside out through Forgiveness Intelligence™, the Forgiveness Framework™, leadership development, coaching, intensives, diagnostics, speaking, and organizational experiences.
Leadership does not stop at the role. It shows up in your reactions, your relationships, your boundaries, your decisions, your ability to trust, and your willingness to have the conversation you have been avoiding. Sometimes the pressure rarely announces itself as burnout. It may look like becoming irritated faster than you used to, avoiding a necessary conversation, struggling to trust after being blindsided, feeling responsible for everybody, staying loyal long after something has become unhealthy, taking one relationship’s damage into the next, or always being available while quietly becoming depleted. A trigger is information. Your reaction may be happening today, but the alarm was often installed yesterday. Our work helps you understand the difference and lead from a healthier place.
Forgiveness Intelligence™ is at the heart of the Legacy InnerShift approach. Through our signature Forgiveness Framework™, we integrate leadership psychology, emotional intelligence, applied neuroscience, and trauma-informed leadership to strengthen you from the inside out. This means recognizing what you are carrying, understanding its impact, processing unresolved experiences, establishing healthier boundaries, and making present-day leadership decisions without allowing yesterday’s wounds to lead the room.
Forgiveness is not pretending harm did not happen. It is not avoiding accountability, and it is not automatic reconciliation. It does not require restoring access where trust was broken. Instead, forgiveness is a leadership competency that creates space to process what happened, respond with greater clarity, and move forward without allowing past experiences to determine how you lead today. It is how you keep carrying the vision without losing yourself in the process.

The Forgiveness Framework™ gives leaders a structured way to examine the experiences, reactions, relationships, and patterns that can influence how they lead today. It creates space to move from simply reacting to understanding, from carrying everything to identifying what is actually yours to carry, and from repeating old patterns to making present-day leadership decisions with greater clarity.
The framework is designed for Second Chair leaders navigating relational hurt, broken trust, unresolved conflict, leadership pressure, boundary challenges, difficult transitions, and patterns that keep showing up. The goal is not to erase what happened or dismiss its impact. The goal is to help you process what you are carrying, understand what it is revealing, and decide what happens next without allowing yesterday’s wounds to lead the room.
Some leadership challenges require more than a conversation. Our intensives create concentrated space for leaders to step away from the constant demands of the role and address the internal work that often gets postponed.
These experiences are designed around focused leadership themes and may include guided reflection, leadership exercises, facilitated discussion, and practical application, giving leaders the space to slow down, examine what is happening beneath the surface, and develop healthier ways of responding.
Our focus areas include Leadership Under Pressure, where you can understand what pressure is revealing about how you lead; Trust & Betrayal, where you examine what happens after trust has been broken and how that experience can follow you into new relationships; Boundaries, where you learn to establish healthier boundaries without confusing boundaries with disconnection; Leadership Transitions, where you navigate changes in responsibility, identity, relationships, and direction; and Emotional Patterns, where you recognize reactions that may be connected to experiences that happened long before the current situation.

Sometimes you cannot shift what you have not identified. Our diagnostics help create greater awareness around the patterns influencing your leadership experience and provide space to examine what may be shaping your reactions, decisions, relationships, and boundaries. They can help surface important questions such as: What consistently triggers me? Where am I carrying more responsibility than I should? What relationships continue to shape my reactions? Where have I confused loyalty with obligation? What am I avoiding? What am I tolerating? And where is yesterday influencing today’s leadership?
Because some leadership work is personal, there are conversations that are difficult to have in a group, decisions that require space, relationships that need to be examined without an audience, and experiences you are still trying to understand. 1:1 coaching provides individual space to work through the realities beneath your leadership role, with room to explore leadership pressure, relationships, boundaries, conflict, transitions, trust, emotional patterns, and the decisions that come next. This space is designed for leaders who are carrying more than they are saying, navigating a complicated leadership relationship, trying to rebuild trust, considering whether to stay, shift, or step away, struggling with reactions that no longer feel familiar, or ready to lead differently without losing who they are.

Dr. Ansonya Burke brings a direct, practical, and transformational leadership conversation to conferences, leadership gatherings, executive teams, ministry environments, military audiences, and educational organizations. Her speaking experiences explore the internal realities of leadership that are often left unspoken, creating space for leaders to examine what they are carrying, how it may be influencing the way they lead, and what it means to lead differently.
Potential speaking themes include The Second Chair Leader, exploring what it means to carry significant responsibility without holding the highest title; The Work Beneath the Work, focused on understanding the internal experiences that shape visible leadership; Forgiveness Intelligence™, exploring why forgiveness belongs in the leadership conversation; Hurt Is Data, Not Destiny, helping leaders recognize what their reactions may be telling them without allowing the past to define the future; and You Don't Have to Leave the Seat, examining how leaders can develop a different way to carry responsibility.
Second Chair leadership does not exist in isolation. The environment matters, the culture matters, and the relationships matter. When leaders are carrying unresolved pressure, the impact can move through the organization, influencing communication, relationships, decision-making, team dynamics, and overall leadership culture.
Legacy InnerShift Institute works with organizations across four sectors: Marketplace, Ministry, Military, and Educational. Organizational experiences can be designed around the specific leadership realities, challenges, and goals of each organization, creating relevant and practical opportunities for leaders to strengthen how they carry responsibility and navigate the internal realities of leadership.
These experiences may include leadership development, executive and senior-leader experiences, team workshops, leadership retreats, organizational intensives, speaking engagements, and custom leadership experiences designed to meet the unique needs of the organization.

We are not interested in creating leaders who simply learn how to endure more. We are interested in strengthening leaders who can carry responsibility without losing themselves in the process, who can acknowledge hurt without becoming defined by it, practice accountability without abandoning compassion, and establish boundaries without surrendering their purpose. We believe leaders should be able to steward influence with greater internal clarity, while remaining grounded in who they are and what they are called to carry. Because what happens inside the leader eventually shows up in the leadership. The way a leader processes hurt, responds to pressure, navigates relationships, establishes boundaries, and makes decisions can shape the people, organizations, and communities they influence. And what changes inside the leader can ultimately change what gets carried forward.
Legacy InnerShift Institute exists for leaders who carry significant responsibility, navigate complex relationships, and are often expected to remain steady while absorbing pressure from every direction.
